Did you know? The pinwheel is the national symbol for the great childhoods all children deserve, because our children are our future.

April is National Child Abuse Prevention Awareness Month. In the 2016 legislative session, the legislature passed ‘Kirk’s Law’ to help protect children from abuse. Starting in July, Indiana will become the first state in the nation to maintain a child abuse registry to track anyone who has been convicted in Indiana of child neglect, or physical or sexual abuse of a child.

The Indiana Department of Child Services has highlighted risk factors that contribute to abuse of children, along with events and services going on around the state. Call 1-800-800-5556 to report child abuse or neglect, and help every child reach their full potential.
