A financial resource website placed three Indiana cities among the top 100 U.S. cities to start a business. East Chicago in northwest Indiana was placed in the top 15 of the Best Small Cities to Start a Business, and Columbus and Gary followed close behind at 85th and 90th in the list.

The website, WalletHub, analyzed factors such as business environment, access to resources and business costs for nearly 1,300 U.S. cities for the report. Find the full list of cities on WalletHub’s website.

Indiana was also ranked the number one state in the nation for cost of doing business in CNBC’s report, America’s Top States for Business 2015.

Congratulations to these small but strong communities. Small businesses and a talented workforce continue to help Indiana’s economy thrive.
